VISION STATEMENT

The strategic vision of the Harlandale Fine Arts Department is to foster educational excellence in and through the arts. This vision is carried out by the faculty and staff of the district through artistry and engagement. This vision builds on the core values of HISD and its own mission statement:

A family working together to create a high quality education where all students graduate to become productive and successful citizens for the 21st century.

Our Fine Arts Family of teachers will contribute to this mission by

(1) enhancing and strengthening students, faculty, staff, and community through increased involvement in the arts.

(2) providing for relevant and meaningful learning; and

(3) advocating for the arts and helping to create a culturally rich environment.
